What’s the difference between Gate 1 and Gate 4 at the Dallas Arboretum?
Gate 4 you park across the street in a parking garage and walk across in an underground tunnel to get closer to the children’s area. Gate 1 has parking on/ next to the arboretum and the entrance is by restrooms/gift shop/food outlook.
Does the Dallas Arboretum allow pets?
Pets are prohibited in the gardens with the exception of licensed service animals. To protect the plant collections, active sports and games are not permitted.

You cannot get to the Arboretum by Metro train. You can take the Metro bus, a taxi, or drive. Parking is free. Most visitors park in the lot next to the visitor center, which can get rather crowded.
Can I bring food into the Arboretum?
The picnic area and lawn outside the Arboretum are great places to picnic. Food may not be brought into the Arboretum. Food and beverages can be purchased in the Arboretum at the Peacock Café. Please do not collect, remove or damage any natural materials including seeds, flowers, fruits, feathers or plant labels.
