The BC29 or most AIO’s don’t actually hold the volume of water as their model number. That is calculated by their overall dimensions. BC29 aprox holds after filled 20 or so gallons.

Can any fish tank be saltwater?
The aquariums themselves are not specifically designed for use as either a freshwater or saltwater tank. Therefore, you can use the same tank if you want to change the system type. However, freshwater aquatic creatures cannot live in saltwater set up.

Is the biocube 29 gallon tank any good?
I bought the 29 gallon BioCube and it has been great from day one. I set up the tank, filled it with water and let it “cure” for 3 days. Then I moved the adult fish from the small tank to this one. I also added more fish. I planted ample living plants. It has been running for four months and has been trouble free.
