Is the Boss CH-1 the same as the Boss CE-2?
FYI, there are 2 versions of the CH-1: one analog (manufactured before 2001, I believe), and one digital (2001 to present). But, the analog CH-1 is not the same as the CE-2, apart from using the same BBD chips. Many seem to think the CE-2 is the sweetest sounding chorus of any of the Boss offerings, but that doesn’t mean the CH-1 sounds bad.

Why does the Corona Tri-chorus sound better than the CH-1?
The Tri-Chorus’s nature is it’s harder to hear the waveform, because there are multiple chorus mixing together. Somehow the CH-1 does this with a single chorus. The CH-1 and the Corona Tri both have a different EQ voice, but the quality of the chorus itself is similar.
