Is there a way to fade out and/or crossfade from one note into another in melodyne? No. You’ll have to render the plug in and then do it to the final audio file. You could also just automate a volume fade in your daw instead but it’s a good idea to commit the Melodyne track for archiving purposes.

If you double-click on the first half of a note, you will create a fade-in. To create a fade-out, double-click on the second half of the note. As soon as a fade-in is created, any soft separation between the note in question and the preceding note will be replaced by a hard separation.

Can you use Melodyne in reason?
it’s quality is leagues beyond reason’s native pitch edit. melodyne sounds undetectable. reason’s pitch edit is ok for some uses, but on vocals it’s not ideal unless you want an electronica sound. plus it can pitch correct drums, which in reason i can’t do at all without it sounding like digital artifacts.
Is Melodyne assistant worth it?
It is a good basic package, but has limited editing capability. I decided to upgrade to Melodyne Assistant in order to gain the full compliment of pitch & timing edits. It was SO worth the price. All I can say is that, since I’m not a professional vocalist, I NEEDED the correction capabilities found in this version.
